エリトリアの安保理への建設的関与をバン・キムン国連事務総長が報告し称賛

2010年6月22日、国連事務総長バン・キムン（潘基文）は、エリトリアの安全保障理事会への建設的な関与を報告し称賛した。

アスマラのアメリカ合衆国大使館は、エリトリア―エチオピア国境委員会の決定に関する声明を発した。

エリトリアは、2002年に国境委員会の決定を何の条件もつけずに受け入れた。エチオピアは受け入れなかった。アスマラのアメリカ大使館による声明は、両者がエリトリア―エチオピア国境委員会の決定を、何の但し書きもつけずに受け入れることを要求している。

UN Secretary General Ban ki-Moon reports and lauds constructive engagement of Eritrea to the SC on June 22nd 2010. 

US Embassy issues a Statement concerning Eritrea – Ethiopia Border Commission’s decision in Asmara concurrently.  

Eritrea has accepted the decision of the border commission without any qualification in 2002. Ethiopia did not. The US Embassy statement issued in Asmara calls for both parties to respect without qualification the EEBC decision.
