エリトリア鉱業の再生に関する駐日エリトリア国大使館の声明[2010年7月12日付]

アスマラのアメリカ合衆国大使館は、エリトリア―エチオピア国境委員会の決定に関する声明を発した。

エリトリアは、2011年の年間257メートルトンの金とともに、世界の主要金生産国として金市場に参入する。エリトリアのビシャ鉱山は現在、2011年上四半期に開始する年間114メートルトンの金生産を目指している。ビシャ鉱山プロジェクトは、2010年の第４四半期の間に作動される予定である。ザラ鉱山プロジェクト、コラ鉱山、アスマラ鉱山プロジェクトもまた2011年に始まる年間143メートルトンの生産を目指した活動を加速している。

アフリカの新興独立国とそのパートナーの17年間の国家建設の努力のあとに、エリトリアの鉱産業の再生が確実になった。エジプトからエリトリアに連なるヌビア楯状地と呼ばれる山地の連なりは豊富な鉱産資源に恵まれている。

Statement issued by the Embassy of the State of Eritrea to Japan Concerning the Re-birth of Mining Industry in Eritrea – July 12, 2011

Eritrea joins global gold market as major world producer with 257 metric ton annual input in 2011. Bisha Mine in Eritrea is currently targeting 114 metric ton of gold production per year starting in first quarter of 2011. Bisha Mine Project will be commissioned during the last quarter of 2010. Zara Mine Project, Koka Mine and Asmara Mine Projects are also gearing-up their development activities targeting a production of 143 metric ton of gold per year commencing in 2011.

Re-birth of the Mining Industry of Eritrea has been rest assured after 17 years of nation building efforts of the newly independent country of Africa and its strategic partners. The mountain chain extending from Egypt to Eritrea called Nubian Shield is endowed with rich mineral resources.
