COP10に関して [PRESS STATEMENT]

2010年10月29日付　駐日エリトリア国大使館によるプレス・ステートメント

エリトリアの土地・水・環境省のTESFAI Gebresellasie大臣は、2010年10月27日に名古屋で開催された「CBD-COP10ハイレベル会合」において声明を発表した。この声明の中で、TESFAI大臣は、過去また現在における生物多様性保護の課題や経験についてのエリトリアの展望やなされている努力について強調した。

会議と平行して、TESFAI大臣は、近藤昭一環境副大臣や他の高官に面会し、我々が直面している生物圏の危機や、“里山イニシアティブ”についての最善の協力方法について意見交換をした。

また、COP10の間、“Eritrea’s Coastal, Marine and Island Biodiversity” (ECMIB)プロジェクトやその他、エリトリアの海洋、土地、生物多様性を保全するために行われている活動に関しての情報の宣伝が、政治家、官僚、学識者、実業界、メディア、一般の人々に対して行われた。

Press Statement Issued by the Embassy of the State of Eritrea to Japan: Tokyo: October 29, 2010

H.E. Mr. TESFAI Gebresellasie Minister of Land, Water and Environment of the State of Eritrea made a statement in the “High-Level Segment of CBD-COP 10” Nagoya October 27th to 29th 2010. In this statement the Minister highlighted Eritrea’s perspective, efforts being made, challenges and experiences of conservation of our biodiversity during the march of time and its current status.

On the side-line of the conferences, the Minister also met with H.E. Mr. Shoichi KONDO the Parliamentary Senior Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Environment of Japan and other dignitaries and have exchanged ideas and opinions on how best to cooperate on the crisis facing our bio-sphere and “Satoyama Initiative”.

“Eritrea’s Coastal, Marine and Island Biodiversity” (ECMIB) project and other information concerning activities currently being undertaken to preserve the marine and land biodiversity in Eritrea were also promoted to politicians, bureaucrats, academia, business, media and the general public during COP 10.
